A Peek into Our Story
What started as a humble Free Walking Tour in Harare in 2017, has grown to become Adventure Horizons. A family owned travel agency with a simple yet powerful vision—unveiling the hidden wonders of Africa through authentic experiences.
Our founder, Lynette, had traveled across Europe, America, and Asia, often sharing stories about her homeland with curious strangers. Inspired by these conversations, she set out to introduce travelers to the rich culture, history, and overlooked gems of her hometown.
What began as a handful of weekly city tours quickly gained traction. As interest grew, Lynette turned to her family for support. Together, they started by opening their own home to tourists—welcoming visitors into their living rooms, maize silos, kitchens, and family activities. They shared their way of life, from everyday routines to traditional ceremonies, offering a deeply personal and immersive experience.
With her sister, June, niece, Sibo, and nephew, Sivu, by her side, Adventure Horizons became more than just a tour company—it became a movement to share Africa’s stories with the world. Expanding beyond Harare, beyond Zimbabwe, and beyond borders, the company forged meaningful partnerships with like-minded explorers across the continent.
Rooted in authenticity, personal connections, and storytelling from a local’s perspective, Adventure Horizons continues to craft immersive, inclusive experiences that celebrate Africa’s diverse cultures and landscapes.
